More Easter Fun!

The excitment continued as we colored eggs with the cousins, ate LOTS of very SUGARY treats, and had a less crowded easter egg hunt with the cousins.

We also had a little talk with Tavin and Katie about what Easter really celebrates-Jesus died on the cross for all of us so that we can live again as families forever-just like he did 3 days after his death. I am so thankful for this act of deep love and compassion for all of us. Because of his sacrifice, I get to have my family for eternity and that is everything to me.

Just Hop Hop Hopin' Along!

We had quite an eventful Easter celebration this year. First, we went to the community egg hunt and got some yummy candy there....there was a million kids and their parents at the ball field and the whistle blew-Katie picked up about 4 eggs-then it was over. BUT boy did she have fun picking up those 4 eggs:) Tavin did a lot better with the help of his Aunt Deedra. I just loved how excited they both were-Tavin for the Easter eggs- Katie because Tavin was excited so she wanted to be excited too! They finished all the candy they got on the way home-Aunt Deedra helped them open it-no wonder they love her:) Next, we were off to Aunt Dessie's house for some more fun...

The New Baby In Town

There is just something about new babies-their smell, their soft skin, their tiny fingers and toes, the peace they bring, and the love they unknowingly give us-they make us want to be better-something more pure and they give us a special kind of joy we have been missing in our lives. They are clean and innocent and the closest thing to heaven we have.

Our family has basked in our new baby Eli's bright spirit and have been blessed in so many ways to have him in our family. It took a lot to get him here and keep him here with us, but it was all worth it. As you can see, Tavin and Katie took to their cousin Eli immediately. And Tavin is showing signs of wanting another brother or sister....or maybe it is me starting to get baby hungry:) Tavin informed me that his baby is coming and the baby is going to be named Tyrone. We will have to see about that one-maybe as a nickname:)

My Kids Can Dance!

This video is just so sweet. I LOVE it when my kids are getting along and having fun together. Dan made the comment-"Our kid's are picking up on my awesome dance moves!" I just laughed-not knowing if this is a good thing or not:) Both my kids can't help but move when music starts to play.

March Comes In Like A LION....Oh wait....it's April!

I have decided that Saint Anthony is about a month behind on the weather-so we are just now getting the windy weather that should have happened last month. Maybe next month will be the start of rainy weather-like April is supposed to be. Oh well-the kids were getting a little stir crazy so I took them out side to be blown to death-they thought it was hilarious and got a big kick out of the pinwheel I found while organizing Tavin's room today. Both of them would stand laughing and screaming as the wind tried its hardest to whisk them away. Good thing Tavin is solid rock!:) I loved watching the joy on their faces over such a simple thing.

Tavin has been asking to make cookies for the past couple days so, we finally did-I think it is more for the cookie dough than the actual cookies. They get this from their dad:) And well I don't mind a good spoonful or two of cookie dough either. I have heard that eating cookie dough can give a person worms-but it is so yummy and hard to resist that we will take our chances. 28 years of eating cookie dough and I am still worm free!
