Kimberly and Kenny's Wedding

The day finally arrived and things couldn't have gone better! Kimberly was a beautiful bride. Check out Tavin's bow tie! So I had to give a toast and did fairly well except I spilt the glass of punch on myself:) Here is what I can recall of what I prepared.

"Hello-I am Kendra- the second youngest in our family of 5 girls. I asked Kimberly if she wanted me to say a few words as her maid of honor and she said to do whatever I felt comfortable with. I don't feel comfortable getting up in front of people, but I want to do it so that Kimberly knows how much she means to me and how much I love her.

I shared a room with Kimberly growing up and could tell you a ton of stories about her but decided to share my most favorite of them all. When Kimberly and I were little girls, we made a promise that if one of us couldn't sleep at night, had a bad dream, or was afraid for some reason, we could climb into the other sister's bed. I remember many nights when I crawled into Kimberly's bed for comfort and often she would hold my hand to let me know everything was going to be OK-she was there.

I now pass this right of passage onto you Kenny, I know that Kimberly will always be by your side through the good and the bad and she will be there to hold your hand to let you know that all will be OK-she is there.

Just a brief word about Kenny. I knew he was the one when Kimberly first introduced me to him. I have been through many of Kimberly's relationships with her-and not one of those boys she dated knew what he had-how special she is-but from the first time I met Kenny I could tell he knew what he had and treated Kimberly like she deserved to be treated. Thank you for making my sister so happy. Here is to a happy and fulfilling marriage!"
